320.0. "A Nice Gift to Give or Receive" by MTV::NEWFIELD () Wed Jun 10 1987 15:14

    A friend of mine had a death in her family recently and I sent her
    a gift of a tree planted in Israel in her father's name. After
    sending it and receiving her thank-you note about how thoughtful
    it was I decided others may want to give a gift like this. I like
    the fact that something continues to grow even after someone has
    passed out of our lives.
    I've also sent it for Weddings and other events.

    The person that I contact is:

    Mrs. Edward Cohen
    151 Tremont Street
    Taunton, MA  02780

    The cost is $5.22 this includes the cost of the stamp.

    Regards,

    Sandy

320.1TREES MAKE GREAT GIFTSKIRK::SCHWARTZMon Jun 29 1987 10:0123
    I had a similar experience. "Sent" some trees to my grandmother
    as a birthday gift. She loved it. The trees go through the Jewish
    National Fund. Their address is 1330 Beacon St., Brookline, Ma. 02146.
    Their 'tree' envelope askes for the following info:

    	In Honor of - or - In memory of
    	Planted by (your name)
    	address (yours)
    	please send certificate to (anyplace you want)
    	organization to be credited (if any)

    I have been told that trees can be ordered by phone though I have
    not tried it and can't guarantee that this info is correct.

    To order 1-4 trees, call 731-6850
    To order 5 or more trees, call (800) 542-TREE

    Trees cost $5 each regardless of quantity.

    Happy planting !!!
