302.3 | Anything other than sales in Israel? | AITG::ESKENAZI | | Mon Jul 27 1987 18:37 | 8 |
| What exactly does DEC do in Israel? I have a friend who is looking
for a job in technical writing in the Boston area with hopes of
transferring to Israel when she makes aliya next year. Do we have
engineers or technical writers at Herzaliya? And how might she
go about "transferring" after a year? I'd appreciate any pointers.

The DEC Israel office in Hertzlia is primarily a sales and service
operation. The only engineering work done is to re-engineer standard
DEC products so they function in Hebrew, the need for a technical
writer is thus minimal.
The VLSI design centre in Jerusalem, being part of central engineering
would probably be your best bet for a tech writers job.
Jill, when your friend is ready to make the big leap I suggest she
contacts our personel people to get the latest and greatest on going
jobs and working conditions.
Hope this helps
Mike
