| You could try calling up the Bostoner Rebbe in Brookline. I'm sure
someone there will be able to give you the information you need.
I don't have the phone number off hand but his name is:
Rabbi Levi Yitchak Horovitz.
Good Luck

| Mazel Tov on your upcoming marriage.
I think you need to check with your Rabbi about Oct. 10th.
Your date presents a problem---it's Chol ha-Mo'ed Sukkot.
Weddings cannot be performed--That's because one isn't supposed
to "mix together" various reasons for happiness. You wouldn't be
able to find a sukkah large enough for the wedding dinner anyway.
BTW The Bostoner Rebbe's number is (617) 734-5100.

| Re .all:
Thanks for the info. I called Bostoner Rebbe and was given a time of 6:11 PM.
As far as changing the date is concerned, I'm kind of committed. However, I
will double check with my Rabbi.

| 6:11 PM is for Boston, Marlbourough is 6:12.
If anyone's interested, I have a program that calculates
astrononmical sunrise/sunset (any date/time/place).

183.5 | havdalah wedding | HECTOR::RICHARDSON | | Mon Sep 08 1986 14:18 | 8 |
| Apart from when Sukkot comes out next year, there are some people
who are a little suspicious of weddings on Saturday night (though
I've been to weddings then myself). I think the concern about
"havdalah weddings" is that someone might have been behind the scenes
doing work on Shabbat to prepare for the wedding. So, if you invite
relatives who are REALLY STRICT, they still might be somewhat
uncomfortable about it all. That may not be an issue, depending
on your guest list.
