| What will be necessary to install a Hewbrew character set ?
I think most people here have vt100's or vt200 series.

| The Hebrew character set that we use on our terminals in Israel are included
in the firmware of the terminal. We made the modifications here.
In the case of teh VT100 terminals there are two ROM's piggyback style and
a manual switching mechanism. From VT200 and up the firmware was modified so
that software switching is possible.
The keyboard itself has not been changed save for the imprinting of the Hebrew
characters on the corresponding keys.

| I worked with VT100's that had software switching (rather than hardware).

| Gee, if they don't have fonts yet for LN01's and LN03's, they ought to soon...
(wish they'd had laser printers when I was in college studying Greek...)

| We have produced soft fonts for the LN01. For the LN03 we have ROM fonts
as well.

40.8 | love = ahava? | EAGLE1::DANTOWITZ | R 3 5 b7 | Sun Mar 12 1989 20:50 | 8 |
| Okay, here's a simple question ... (I seem to have misplaced my
dictionary and my memory is fuzzy)
Is the noun for "love", "ahava" in Hebrew? And spelling: AHBH
(aleph, heh, bet, heh)?
Thanks,
David
