1487.0. "Barrys Gold Blend tea source?" by QUARK::LIONEL (Free advice is worth every cent) Sun Jul 23 1995 20:28

My wife is very fond of Barrys Gold Blend tea, which is Irish. Our
local source (a British food shop) closed a few months ago, and my wife
very much wants to buy some more Barrys. Pointers to sources, either
stores in the Boston-Nashua corridor, or mail-order (US preferred)
    would be most welcome. Thanks.

    Steve,

The Celtic Crust Bakery in either Newton or Brighton sells
Barrys and a host of other things, including brown bread.

The one in Newton is right near the Mass Pike.

    Regards,
    George

Thanks - I'll give them a call.

So far I've found that Mark Wendell in West Concord and Cardulos (sp?) in
Cambridge don't have it - Cardulos told me that they've had it in the past but
have had trouble getting it from the distributor.

How about that place in the Stow shopping center -- the combination
Irish store/lunchcounter/pub? They might have it. I don't know
how you would get their phone number, though, unless they are still
listed under the old "Coffee, Tea & ... Coffeehouse" name.

Re: .1

Thanks - the Keltic Crust Bakery (the K in the name gave me fits when trying
to look it up in the phone books!) does stock Barry's - I called the Newton
store.

Re: .3

That's apparently "Coffee, Tea and Melody". I don't have a phone number for
them yet.

Thanks for the help!

I was just at Coffee, Tea and Melody for a Guinness or two...delicious.
They do have Barry's Gold. It costs $7.49 for 80 tea bags.

That seems a bit much. I think Keltic Krust had
Barry's for about $6.00. How much is it in
    Ireland these days?

1487.8Phone Number for Coffee, Tea & MelodySTOWOA::ROGERSWed Aug 02 1995 15:156
I was at Coffee, Tea & Melody again today...hmmmm there seems to be a
pattern here! Their phone number is 508-897-3250.

Well, the tea may be expensive but the selection of draught and bottled
beer is well worth the trip.
