British prime minister John Major and Irish prime minister John Bruton
have announced that the two countries have agreed to co-ordinate a
strategy that could pave the way for the decommissioning of IRA and
loyalist paramilitary weapons. An Anglo-Irish working party on
decommissioning has been in place for several months and officials
are
said to be examining current proposals.

There's no details published yet! But nobody's daft in this affair, one
side won't do it without the other i expect, and i can't see the
Republicans disarming without the army and RUC doing likewise can you?
