I'm sure Liam Ferrie sent out something as part of his Irish Emigrant
Newsletters detailing festivals this year but I've mis-appropriated it by the
look of things. Why don't you contact Liam on Galway (353) 91-569158 and I'm
sure he'll be delighted to discuss signing you up as subscriber. I've no idea
when the Oyster Festival is but the Rose of Tralee is normally held mid-August
and the "mating" feis in Lisdoonvarna is sometime in September.

Thanks for the reply.
The Oyster festival might be October (?)
Lisdoonvarna sounds much too frisky.

| There are 2 Oyster festivals .
1st and original, is in Clarinbridge about 10 miles from Galway city and happens
around the 1st week in Sept.
2nd and much larger festival is held in the city by the Spanish Arch and is on
usually the last weekend of Sept.
If it's a festival of intimacy you want then Clarinbridge fits the bill.
On the other hand if you require a more ostentatious bash then the Spanish Arch
is the place.
