| Hi,
For many years I have been going to Liams Irish Tavern in Framingham
for St. Patty's day. It is now closed. How about some suggestions for
a new place to celebrate this year.
Thanks in advance.

| Kevin, there is a really good Irish pub in the Framingham Tara Hotel that I
wnt to last December....I think it is still around.
Around Boston:
Mr Dooley's on Broad St, The Irish Embassy, Clark's, and The Dublier are
allin Faniuel Hall. If you want some good pubighton or South e-mail
and I'll give you a listing. You might want to check out the calander
in the Globe on Thursday, it will have a listing of all the Irish pubs
in Mass that have something going on.
Just a word of warning though...if you're not in a pub by noon you ca
forget about getting in back they get really packed.
Have a great time what ever yoI know I will be in Faniuel Hall

Probably Cambridge. ;v)
Saw the Chieftains last night at Symphony Hall. Paddy was in
rare form as usual. For the encore Paddy asked for and got about
13 other players on stage, kind of a Symphony "sesshoon".
All in all the concert was very good. The big fiddler, I forget
his name, was dynamite. The only low point was some singer lass
called Maggie ?, who sounded like a cross between a horse with
emphyzema and Brenda Vaccarro (of the 18 hour bra fame).
Oh and yes, we had Carlos Nunez, the standing
uillean piper from Galicia in Spain. Carlos came fully equiped
with the traditional Galicia costume, kind of a cross between
a bull fighter, a Scottish bagpiper, and a Durgan Park waiter.

Among the local musicians that played ata the end was Paddy
Keenan who been hanging around the Boston area lately.

| I bought the Long Black Veil a few weeks ago, and George, I
thought the same thing when I heard Marianne Faithfull. Her
singing days are over, or they should be over.
