1436.0. "Maggie's Coat of Arms (couldn't resist :v))" by TALLIS::DARCY (Alpha Migration Tools) Mon Nov 28 1994 10:24

    Descendants of Sir Isaac Newton, the 17th century scientiest,
    are critical of former prime minister Margaret Thatcher for
    her cheek for including him on her coat of arms. Richard Newton,
    the family's senior surviving member, told the Sunday Times
    yesterday, "It's cheek and very vulgar...I'd be delighted if she
    agrees to change it - an anonymous grocer might be more appropriate."

    Thatcher, a grocer's daughter from the middle class who rose to
    be Britain's first woman prime minister and is now a baroness,
    unveiled her coat of arms 10 days ago. It features an admiral
    carrying a pair of binoculars to symbolize military might and the
    1982 Falklands (Malvinas) War, and Sir Isaac Newton carrying a
    set of scales, representing science. "She might have had the
    courtesy to ask the current head of the family before running off
    with our cousin," Newton, who lives in Scotland, wrote in a letter
    to the Sunday Times.

    So I pose to you, the general readership, what would
    be most appropriate for Margaret Thatcher's coat-of-arms?

    Please be cordial, extra points for wit and humor.
