Subj:	Irish Emigrant - Subscription Information

Thank you for the positive response which so many of you have
given to my decision to introduce an annual subscription for the
Irish Emigrant. I have been unable to reply to all who wrote and
could not explain payment methods while I was negotiating with a
bank and credit card companies.

Best Regards

Liam
=================================================================

IRISH EMIGRANT SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION

From April 4, as explained in the edition of February 14, there
will be an annual subscription fee of IR#25 (US$35, Stg#24) for
the email edition of the Irish Emigrant. (If you are using a
non-commercial college or university system please ignore for the
time being as I still expect to find a sponsor to cover these
costs).

Payment may be made in the following ways:

1. By credit card (Visa, Access/Mastercard). Please
send your credit card details (number and expiry date)
via email or, if you are unsure of the security of
internet, by ordinary mail Menlo, Galway, Ireland.

2. A cheque in Irish punts for IR#25 made payable to The
Irish Emigrant Ltd and mailed to the above address.

3. A US Dollar cheque/money order for US$35 made payable to
The Irish Emigrant Ltd and mailed to the above address.

4. A Sterling cheque/money order Stg#24 made payable to The
Irish Emigrant Ltd and mailed to the above address.

Group rates:
- 5 to 50 deduct 10%
- 51 to 100 deduct 20%
- More than 100 or unrestricted distribution within a
company or organisation please contact me.

If you believe I should accept payment via other credit card
companies or have any other difficulty with these arrangements
please let me know.

I was wondering who we could contact about that. I guess some wonderful
person could take it upon themselves to gather up list of interested
people. I'd think Liam would supply a list of DEC subscribers if asked.
I'm definitely interested in subscribing.

Joe.
1343.3I'll collect a list of interested peopleXSTACY::LIBOVEFelines 'R' UsFri Mar 11 1994 13:3910
Count me in. I'll collect a list of interested people.
I'll contact Liam directly to request the list of subscribers
from within DEC, and then I'll contact those people to see
who is willing to pay.

I'll post more when I have a better idea of what the
possibilities are.

-Jay

1343.4Lets all pay the 25 punts and get this started !CTHQ::COADYSun Mar 13 1994 19:208

I sugegst that we all pay the 25 punts and not look the the 3/4 dollar
discount. This will help Liam get the initiative started.

Liam has done a great job free for years and he won;t have much change
out of 25 punts for all the issue. So unless you all feel strongly
that we get together and call some "group", be it Celt Noters or
DECiees, lets just pay 25 punts and keep this great newsletter alive.

1343.9Any probs getting your copy ?CTHQ::COADYThu Apr 07 1994 12:265

Anyone else having probs receiving the Emigrant ?. I haven't had a
copy in weeks and I mailed Liam. I am on the distribution list, so he
can't figure it out ...... anyone else not received it in the last 4
weeks or so ?
1343.10Liam hopes to have the problems fixed soon.ACTGSF::BURNSANCLRFri Apr 08 1994 10:4611

Liam is having problems sending to users who specify ALL-IN-1 as their
mail protocol. VMS Mail should not be having any problems.

Myself and George Darcy usually past versions if anyone needs copies.

Yes Joe, I have. And it took about 10 days for Liam's acknowledgement
via e-mail. His wife is handling the business end of things.

we'll all lose out.

So, if you haven't done so, please get the #25 punts there asap.
