    The Irish Ancestral Research Association holds monthly meetings in the
    Boston area, usually at Boston College in Chestnut Hill.  
    
    On Friday May 14th at 7:30pm at Higgins Hall, Boston College, Michael F.
    McGonagle, Chairman of the English department at B.C. High will speak
    on "What makes a writer Irish?", exploring the origins and future of
    Irish writing, and how geography and history create a point of view.
    
    T.I.A.R.A. meetings are free and open to the public.

    Martin McGovern of Stonehill College will speak on "Attitudes Towards
    the Irish: Irish vs. Irish-American Viewpoint".
    
    This will also be the annual meeting for T.I.A.R.A. with reports given
    and election of officers for the coming year.
    
    This will be the last meeting until September.
