HI. I am starting this note becaus i am intersted in the topics that have been discussed in the British intellegence note and dont think it has any relevance to the issue. Correct me if i am wrong, but in note 1042.43 toby talks of the wrongs that england has emposed on ireland. The understand the phillosophy that prodistant is fathfull to the crown and us to rome. I allso see a long tredition of poor education and no political support for the british catholics from the time southern island was a part of the empire to today when not a single catholic sits in the house of lords. but tell me prior to king william when rome was catholic. Thay went about the Genecide the the celts and the pagans of europe.centuries later Before the Prodistant beleifes started drifting down across europe this country was still killing celts, Shamen and pagan alike when king billy finaly got to grips with the England and its surrounding counteries the killing still went on. then we had the lord protector ( cromwell and his son ) thay where not catholic or prodistant. he was a christian of the old school. He sent is pureist new moddel army to ransack ireland. then we had the prodistants back again. if my history is a bit mixed up please tell me but the argument that this country has pilliged other countries for many years and is giveing catholics a bad time. consider what the roman and europian counteries have done in the past to island populations all over the world... i think its well time that this muck rakeing should be put to rest and an argument based on the facts of today like the cowerdness of the SAS shooting, the sick justice of the gilford four and the cowerdice and genecide of the harrods bombing dave niblock

Suggest you read note 277, where there are two versions of Irish history, one the colourful production of Mr Mike Hughes, which gives vintage cowboys-and-indians Irish history but to be taken with a pinch of salt. But it's good fun, and gets the story sequence right, however it's riddled with irritating inaccuracies. The other version is my own production, probably not without its own faults (e.g. definitely lacks Mike's vivacity!) but probably more objective. Or so I like to think. Note 277 also refers you to the HISTORY notesfile where there is an extended topic (over 100 entries) on Irish history. Have fun, Toby | |||||
