New York Too!
Maybe a library could give you the information you need. Trinity might
even have some consulting services. They have a business program there
I understand.

The two largest read Irish weekly newspapers are the Irish Echo and
the Irish Voice.
I'll post the addresses in the morning.

| thanks, guys!
addresses would be much appreciated (of papers that is!)
what sort of circulation sizes would these have (100,000+???)
Would these papers be more aimed at the recent emigrant? I would also
be very interested in targeting the more 'mainstream' established
Emigrants who left Ireland 20-40 years ago...
thanks again.

Actually the Irish Emigrant is a News letter from Galway thats sent to
all Irish DECCIE ex-pats, plus a few 1000 more Irish people, who have
access to electronic mails ( other hi-tech companies, universities) and
indeed go knows how many hardcopies get around.
Its not really a news paper --- just much better.

| Tadhg,
Don't forget the following other sources:
1) Cara - Aer Lingus inflight magazine (older following,
around 20,000?)
2) Ireland of the Welcomes - pictorial magazine on Ireland
(larger subscription base than Cara - I think around
90,000 - mostly older emigrants and 1st + 2nd
generation Irish Americans)
3) The Irish People - for your die-hard Republicans + spies.
(subscription base several thousands)
4) Inside Ireland - informational newsletter from Ireland
(I think based in Wicklow - subscription base in the
tens of thousands)
As Kevin mentioned:
5) Irish Echo (probably has a slightly higher subscription base
then the Voice - around 100,000?)
6) Irish Voice (more liberal than the Irish Echo - has better
color in their pictures)
Other places you could easily advertise for their "Irish" base
would be
Boston Globe (probably hit about 300,000 Irish Americans
although not the die-hard types)
New York Times (bigger base than Globe)
San Fransiscan Chronicle
Chicago Tribune
Philedelphia Eagle?
And finally you could dish out some money for USA Today newspaper
if you were so inclined. If any of these interest you, I will
dig out the addresses. You could also try Irish American radio
stations. There are many many of them (in the hundreds). The
best ones would be in Boston (WNTN, WBUR etc.) and New York.
Good market I'm sure.
May I ask what your selling? It's not Claddagh shaped door knockers
is it? Only kidding ;v)

George,
now THAT sort of information is what I'm looking for...addresses would
be great if you can post them here also, thanks.
Claddagh shaped door knockers....ha ha!!! No!!! Will I tell ya???
Ok...I have come into possesion of some small to heavy arms from
the formers USSR....bought them in an Azerbijani chipper here in
Dublin....so I figured that the Irish Community in the USA would like
some of these as protection against this wave of rioting.
One question....how much does one charge for a long range ICBM??
Its cluttering up the back garden and I'm afraid the kids might break
it.
cheers,
*Tiger*
