Subj: Anybody interested in a grand St. Patrick's Day Concert? And now to lighten your post-holiday depression, an invitation to one and all to join in rehearsing and performing a GRAND SAINT PATRICK'S DAY CONCERT Wednesday, March 18, 1992 noontime ZKO You may remember last year's concert performed by the New England Chowder Society and Cel Marching Band? You have an opportunity here to surpass even the insurpassable! Please let us know if you are interested in: - singing - instrumentals* - minimally need guitar fiddle whistle - would like bodhran bass Irish harp hammered dulcimer ??? *We'll use the Fiddler's Fakebook as the primary book for instrumentals. But don't worry, you don't need to own it. Not only do we need your instruments and your fine Irish tenors, we also want to hear what you'd like to sing. If you've always wanted to sing Cruiskeen Lawn or the Croppy Boy, let us know. We will try to accomodate as much as possible, but no guarantees. So far, the musical selection is (not set in stone, blarney or otherwise): For different lead voices, group chorus: ------------------------------------ Tim Finnegan's Wake The Ramblin' Rover For possible solo, small group: --------------------------------------- If I was a Blackbird Take Her in Your Arms For instrumentals: ---------------------- Staten Island Temperance Reel ***PLEASE LET US KNOW BY JANUARY 17th!*** Going by our experience last year, two months' rehearsal once a week and twice a week toward the concert date will set us up nicely. Send mail to Therry Neilsen-Steinhardt at BOOKIE::NEILSEN or to Terry O'Loughlin at KOALA::OLOUGHLIN.
