| Can you not use "Compose Character"?
To get a s�ne fada simply type "compose Character","i" and "'".
Then a "�" will magically appear.
Works just as well for �,�,� and �.
BTW What do you think of Bacon and Cabbage...the Irishmans staple
diet??

| For some odd reason the compose character doesn't work on
my VAXstation 3100 running VMS. Maybe I need some special
fonts to make it work?
I can create them OK on my VT330 terminal.

on a VAXstation try pressing compose and the space bar simultaenously
then the compose LED should come on and you're away...

PS. anyone know why I can't get circumflexes on W & Y (which are
vowels in Welsh)?

Because there wasn't a good Welsh representative on the ISO committee
when the standards were being designed!
There is provision for Welsh being planned for Unicode and 10646 I
think though.
