KeVin,
I am surprised that you put that ad in here. I thought that you were keeping
your application a secret. Or have you been turned down.

943.2 | Beware of High taxes and high crime-rate.... | MACNAS::JDOOLEY | The Bucks of Oranmore | Thu Aug 22 1991 09:07 | 8 |
| Owing to the uncertain state of DEC at the moment there will be no
shortage of system managers with VAX/VMS experience applying in
Ireland alone.
The competition for jobs here is fierce and the payroll taxes are
HUGE...all yanks are best advised to stay away.
Also Liexlip is now a suburb of Dublin and shares its high
crime rate.

In previous Intel Ads, I believe they were only interested in
interviewing "Irish Born" candidates who were living in American
and who would be willing to relocated back to Ireland.

| Irish born people would know what to expect and would probably go for
it.
I would imagine, from my contact with Americans, that they would find the
high taxes, inefficient roads, high car and fuel prices a little too
much.
Ireland's one last attraction...a low crime rate is now rapidly
dissappearing.
Only recently a German tourist was bludgeoned to death in a mugging
incedent in Dublins main Park, the Phoenix.
Although murder for money may be quite common in some parts of the
world it is (was??), up to now, very rare here.
