Help, I can't find the correct pronunication of two names. Would someone be able to write them out phonetically (sp?) or call me and give me the correct way to say them, the only thing I do know is that their Celtic: Dymphna (meaning white wave) Emryss (meaning immortal) I am going between these two names for an organization I'm involved with called SCA (Society for Creative Anchronisms). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Diane C. Denehy DTN: 540-1030 Outside: 206-828-1030

How would I say either: Duinesidhe or O'Duineacha (this is the original surname of the Denehy's). Thanks Diane | |||||

Leaprechauns will oblige on one or two. Dymphna = DIYNF-NAH OR THYNF-NAH but in Dublin they say DIMP-NAAAA Emryss = EM-RISSSS Duinesidhe = DIYNE--SHEE or THYNE-SHEEE (fairy-person or ghost person) Irish fairies do not equate the U.S. connotation (they are types of mischievious poltergeist). Snake couldn't resist. |
