| Hi Christa,
Well, it is reasonably easy to find accomodation in Dublin.
However, finding accomodation that suits individual needs/desires is
when the difficulties begin. Some of the nicer areas to live are -
Malahide and Portmarnock on the Northside of the city, Castlenock,
Lucan, Leixlip, Manooth, Cellbridge on the west side and Bray,
Templeogoue, Donnybrook etc on the Southside.
The choice of where to live will be determined to an extent by
where your friends are going to be working and how long he is willing
to spend each day in Dublins chaotic traffic !
Rented houses come in a variety of conditions from unfurnished to
fully furnished (which does indeed include dishes etc). Whats in a
particular house is largely dependant on the Landlord and will also
impact the cost of rental. Typically rental will be from $600 per
calendar month upwards. What I really would advise is an advance trip
to view whats on offer if at all possible. For some preparation your
friends should contact some of the rental agencies outlining their
requirements and see what turns up (see below)
Weather in April is generally mild and wet (this is the norm for here
for most of the year!!!!!). To find out whats on at any given time the
best course of action is to check the loacl papers and contact any
tourist information office.
Hope this helps

| Hi,
thanks! I know my friends will really appreciate this very much. They
don't have time to visit Ireland as they will actually move there by
the 18th of March...
One more "important" question: what would be the best golf course in
the Dublin area?
Thanks again!
Best regards,
Christa
PS. What is a lepricorn?

I'm not into golf much myself, but I believe The course in
Portmarnock is considered the best - I have heard however that there is
quite a waiting list. There is still a big choice of alternatives which
are very good.
A "leprecaun" is a mythical creature, human in characteristics but
generally not more than 2/3 feet tall with magical powers. They are
best known for their "crock" (large cooking pot) of gold which they
hoard. It is said that if you can find a leprecaun he will eventually
give you his gold - but beware you must not take your eyes off him even
for an instant else he wil disappear.
Leprecauns are usually spotted late at night. Its sheer
coincidence that most sightings occur somewhere between the local pub
and home ( I wonder why!!!!!!!!!).
