819.0. "Crossing the Atlantic..." by LOEDGE::FARRELL (Goofball) Tue Oct 23 1990 13:46

It just struck me that we here in the U.S. of A. have often
a need for things from home (and vice-versa). So why not
a topic for those who are travelling in either direction
and can get (small) things if needs be.

I'm going back to Ireland on October 31st for a 4 day trip.
(Aer Lingus special $445 round trip Logan to Dublin).

If people want (small) things, mail me and I'll let you
know if I can get them or not.

Mind you with only 3 full days at home I won't have too
much time, but I can try.

Well Aer Lingus is having a deal again, and THIS time I'm
taking better advantage of it. I'll be back in Dublin
(from Boston) from March 21 - March 30 inclusive.

As I'll have more free time, I can probably transport
(small) things either direction.

Email me if you want something and I'll see what I can
do.

    Bernard,

How good a 'deal' is it? I've heard the prices have really dropped due
to the war, but haven't actually seen any numbers.

Of course, I make SO LITTLE MONEY that it is probably just a pipedream.

Hi, sorry about the delay in replying, I'm only at this
address a few days of the week.

The price I paid was $463 including tax. It goes up
the following day because of the Easter Hols. THis price
has been available for sometime, so there may be some
changes due to the war, though I wouldn't bet on it.
Seems to me that Aer Lingus is probably among the
safest (in terms of bomb risks) air line to fly right now.
