779.0. "Seeking Pen Pal" by MAMTS2::TTAYLOR (Don't dream it's over) Tue Jun 26 1990 12:20
Hi! Usually I'm READ only in this file, but I'm seeking a penpal from
Ireland.
Next year I plan on making a trip to Ireland with one of my
girlfriends, and it's probably the best way to meet people so here
goes:
My name is Tammi Anne Taylor and I'm turning 28 next week (July 3).
I'm 5'3, weigh around 120, and have shoulder length blonde hair and
green eyes. I live and work in the Landover, Maryland USA region. I
spend a lot of time in Washington DC and Virginia (my sister has a
Thoroughbred stable in Culpeper, VA) because it's close by and I'm a
pretty active person!
I attend college at night, with one year left for my Bachelor of
Science in Marketing and Business Management. Currently I work on
Training and Development for the Finance and Administration
organizations, as well as supporting the Federal Government District
Finance Manager here in Landover. Prior to moving to the DC area, I
lived and worked in Boston, MA, in the Boston/Cambridge Field Service
office (which I really loved -- lots of fun but hard work!). I was
born and raised in Central Massachusetts, in a small town in the
country ... I'm a country girl at heart but love the city as well.
My interests are many and varied ... I work on lots of crafts,
stenciling people's houses and spend lots of time on needlework,
reading (especially Celtic mythology and legends), love to write
stories and poetry, and I love to swim and fish and do lots of things
outdoors. I'm into going to art museums and most museums in general,
as well as traveling. I've been to most of the EEC countries, with the
exception of Ireland, and I'm really excited about going there next
year! I'm not of Irish descent, but I've always been fascinated by the
Irish in general ...
I'm single, never married, no kids (but maybe someday, who knows?).
I'm very family-oriented, with 1 brother and three sisters. I'm an
identical twin as well! Twins run in my family, skipping a generation.
Please feel free to SEND/AUTHOR or mail to GRANPA::TTAYLOR.
Thanks!
Tammi

I hope you enjoy Ireland - but most people between about 20 and 40 yrs
are out of there and live in Boston ! - except for a few of the GAO
contributers.
Mind you, a fair few of them are in Italy and may never make it back,
they have forgotten where they left 3 weeks ago !

| Tammi,
You sound like a very charming girl. Good luck in your search for
a pen pal.
Just beware of the Irish lads!
Cheers,
Paul

| Leaprechauns take advice from cobblers.
Re. 2
Spoken by one who forgot his own advice and got caught by the charms
of a lass from Dublin :-) :-)
Irish families were always the largest once .... Could this mean that
"Latins make the best lovers" is a lie ????
Snake who has never listened to charmers.
