I don't really know what do you mean with "the romans and milanese
have the same problem " but my question was sincere and really intere-
sted about Norman Whiteside career.
So , if you have news about him , I'll be glad to read it in this
note. Thanks in advance .
Sergio

Not to worry Sergio...but you see Norman White plays for Northern
Ireland and not the Republic of Ireland. However we could have done
with his *fire and passion* the yesterday against Egypt.
.0 1. Is it available any tennis club conventiond with DEC ( I mean
.0 with special company fares ) ?
I'm not sure(ain't a big tennis fan)...but I can check with somebody
in our Sports & Social Club for you.
.0 2. Are there any festival or concerts or other public events in
.0 the period I mentioned ?
There is always live music in loads of the pubs. The musicians don't
like playing outdoor concerts...because they can't get any free
drinks...(only joking :-) When you are here you can check in the
local papers(free) for what is happening.
.0 3. Which kind of weather will I have to expect in September ?
If I knew that I wouldn't be working for digital :-) However for
the last few years September has been dry and mild. But don't expect
90 degree Italian heat...more like 15 degree Irish and cloudy.
.0 4. Do you have suggestions on Restaurants in Galway and sorroundings
.0 ( expecially Italian , Franch , Chinese and of couse Irish )?
No problem with Chinese...there are at least 3 in Galway City. One
is called the 'Great Eastern'. mind you I haven't been in one since
my College days, doing runners and being chased up the street by
a Chinese waiter with a machete!!! :-) :-)
All this talk of food has make me hungry...must go to the canteen
for lunch...will get back to you later...wonder what's on the menu
today??? after 0-0 with Egypt, more than likely 'Humble Pie'!!! :-(
Ciao,
- Dave K.

| Phew!...back again...that was a looooong lunch!
.0 5. Is it possible to swim in the ocean up there or the water is
.0 freezed ?
No problem swimming...and about a mile outside down in Salthill
is where most people go to swim in the summer. Again the water
will not be as warm as in Italy but it is clean. There is also
a heated indoor swimming pool in Leisureland also in Salthill.
I believe there are special days for Digital employees to get
reduced rates of charge.
.0 6. Which reputation does the Italian have in Ireland ?
A great reputation...we are a bit like each other ie. mostly
Catholic,like singing and drinking,play soccer,laugh etc....
.0 7. Is there anybody else who is reading this note , that will have
.0 the VAX9000 Installation and Maintenance course in Sep 19 ?
Well not me...but feel free to call down to my desk when you arrive.
(I'm located in the MSSB Engineering office complex)
Ciao,
- Dave Keating.
