762.0. "Good-Bye to All" by MERLAN::CULBERT () Fri Jun 01 1990 10:53

Good bye to all the Celt noters and readers. Yes I am leaving Digital
after almost 7 years. I'm accepting the 'PACKAGE'. My departure
date will be June 15, 1990. (Watch the stock go up then :^)).

I have enjoyed the Celt file very much these past years and learned
much more than I could return in information.

I would like to thank all who have shared in this file for the
entertainment and knowledge that I will be able to pass on to others
in my family and realm of friends (yea both of them).

keVin: thanks for the pool games when you want lessons I'm
available for a moderate sum. :^)

Murphy: Your wit and humour is always entertaining even if you
hang around that place in No. Chelms.

Liam: Thank You for the Irish Emmigrant(sp) I guess you can cancel
me on June 11. Your work on the news is always fantastic.

Dermot: It was nice meeting you just remember that I am the taller
    	      brother. :^)

Mick: Nice to have met you also. Good CRACK at Paddy's even
youngest son age (4) enjoyed playing the tin whistle.

Snake: Sorry I missed you on the last trip you had over here
maybe I meet you on your next one.

Paddy: What can I say even if miles separate us will still be
close. OK I am the taller brother and the wider one. There
are you happy now. :^) :^)

So Goodbye to all and have a nice day.

Ireland vs England in Dorchester. How about Christians vs Moslems

Well, I live pretty close to Dawchestuh, so it won't be too much
of a hardship to make the pilgrimage. I'll be the one in sackcloth

Good riddance, says I. Definitely cause for celebration when you get
rid of a Culbert.....no chance of taking the shorter one with you, I
suppose......when all the nickles and dimes have been collected, we're
getting you a 40 gallon stetson......hope it's the right size (the
thirty five gal. looked stingy). keVin wanted to buy you an Irish
wolfhound, seems everyone has them down there.......but we couldn't
agree on a name......see you at the party!!!!!!!

    So you're going to Dallas?

I hope you'll be able to come down to the heart of Texas, the best
place to melt in Texas in the summertime. Plan your trip so that you
can come down for a weekend.....

Yea, the stock just may go up - but only because it, on a daily basis,
usually does just the opposite of what common sense would have it do...

Could you put a few left over chicken pieces in a bag together with
a tape of the party so that we out-of-staters can savour (if that
is the word!) the atmosphere of the hooley.

    Paddy,

Please give John a 'belated' goodbye from me. I've been away from the
file for a while. I have a good excuse....

See, I was trying out this new short cut (with all the miles I drive,
I'm always looking for better ways). Suddenly I happened upon a
flashing yellow light. Being the alert, law-abiding, safe driver that
I am, I immediately stopped. Yes, then I patiently waited (being a
non-yuppie, it is possible for me to be patient) for the light to go
red (the color signifying stop....not hurry up and hope nobody
sees/hits you). Well, the light seemed to be taking a long time, so I
decided to clean out my car while I waited.

I'd probably still be there today if that nice bikerider hadn't stopped
and asked why I was waiting at a flashing yellow light with a 'beware -
sharp curve' sign. Oh well, these things happen when you follow the
    road less travelled.

The other reason could be that I haven't figured out how to use NOTES
in a DECwindows environment on my new workstation (can't sell 'em, so
    give 'em to the help)

Anyway, I hope you gave John a good sendoff. If I'm ever in Texas I'll
expect a detailed explanation of Dallas traffic patterns.

    /Jen

Goodbye to all fellow Celts, and everyone else who has participated here! I'm
off to greener pastures (so I'm a wimp, you may say! Well, tough titties!)

I admit that I found this conference through the rather unfortunate reputation
of some hate-mongers, but I have also had an interest, albeit mostly read-
only, of anything to do with my Celtic heritage (Northumbrian, Irish and
Welsh, for those who must know)

Since this conference has been pretty much on the political side, I will add
my sincere hopes for a quick and amicable settlement for those involved in the
ongoing struggles (although the foul tempered in me says that I wish a really
horrible time for those who only wish to prolong the problems - you know who
you are, Hollowhead and accomplices)

Anyone who may have the rather odd urge to keep in touch may contact my via
the internet at [email protected]
Best regards,

Chris.
