733.0. ""FUN"d Raiser" by SVCVAX::BOYLE () Tue Mar 27 1990 10:33
Dateline--Springfield, Ma. - March 27,1990
On March 17, 1985, at the annual St. Patrick's Day party of
a popular Irish pub, Don Healy, a band member accidentaly knocked
over a speaker injuring (not seriously) two party paytrons.
On March 9, 1990, as part of an out of court settlement, Don
& Sheila (Sullivan) Healy, the entertainers, were assessed partial
financial responsibility for the injuries.
We, their friends, are planning a "FUN"d Raiser for them at
the John Boyle O'Reilly Club, 33 Progress Ave., Springfield, Ma.,
on Friday, April 6, 1990, at 7:30 P.M., in an effort to defray some
of the costs of thier legal responsibilites.
Those already volunteering their talents for this event are:
Springfield's Human Puppets and Irish entertainers, The Dustman,
Butch and Meave, Diedre Reilly, and such "Healy" headliners as
John Tabb and Seamus Connelly.
If anyone is interested in attending (tickets are $10) or wishes
to volunteer their talents, please contact me, Ed Boyle, via E-mail
at SVCVAX::BOYLE, or tickets may be purchased at the door.
Don and Sheila are expecting thier fourth child in early April
and are currently remodling their home accordingly. This untimely
settlement has left the family financially stressed.
Thanks,
Ed Boyle
