Well the good news is that Van the Man is playing in the Orpheum
around April 21st.

Bad news is I only found out yesterday and the tickets were
already officially sold out.  I did manage to get a pair at
scalper prices !!!

Anyone know of a cheaper source ?  Anyone else interested in
the place I got them from ?

I'll write a report after the event.

	Thanks Dermot, but don't think the reception here is so good. :-) I'll tell you, for a man that's not (allegedly) mainstream the effect his concert dates had on getting throught to ANY of 4 different ticket agencies was phenomenal !! It took me over half an hour of fairly continuous calling to get through. I gave up trying to contact the theatre after the first 45 mins. Let us know how he is. I don't mind spending the money. Last time I saw him was in Cork in 1978ish. Then he was great, 2 nights later in Dublin he was awful, I heard. Hope to God he doesn't play badly when I see him. Bernard.

	Bernard The Man was alright but the program was a little over sold - one hour, lots of adverts and only 10 or so minutes of Morrison doing a few songs. He's now playing with Mose Allison, a jazz pianist and the bit we got to see was good. Seeing him live is best and in recent years he has been in great form with little or none of the erraticism of earlier years. Best WIshes Dermot

	Well it's that time again. Van is playing in the Orpheum again on April 25th, presumably to promote the Hymns to the Silence album. I have some tickets but I know of at least 4 other SERIOUS Van fans who would like some, so if anyone out there has extras, please let me know. Bernard
