Tohernaross, Granard District, Counties of Cavan and Weatmeath.
Which co. is it in? What can you tell me about it? My grandmother's
brother, and probably her too, was born there.

I Just happen to have a good map of that area in the drawer here.
Granard is in County Longford but close to the borders of Cavan
and Westmeath. About five miles east of Granard is the town of
Finnea. A further two miles to the east is a village, hamlet or
townland called Togher. That is in Westmeath. A further three
miles to the east is another small place called Ross in Co.Meath.
There is also a Ross House nearby. This is all just to the south
of Lough Sheelin and I would bet that your Tohernaross is in this
area.
