    Hi Lorelei,Mike,

Seen as my eldest girl is called SADHBH,then I suppose I should
try it. SIVE would be my best shot.

Interestingly enough Sadhbh came home from school yesterday, saying
that her teacher said that the Irish for her name is Sive. I put
    her right.

How is the crack Mike?? ( oops maybe I should not mention that word).

    regards Peter.

The most common pronunciation of Sadhbh is indeed "Sive", though in
some areas of Connemara its pronounced "sow" (as in pig!!) Most people
    prefer the former.
