639.0. "LOOKING FOR GAELIC SPEAKING AU PAIR" by COMET::BEYZAVI () Sat Sep 02 1989 19:01

    Hi,
My name is Hossein Beyzavi, I work in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
I am new to this conference. I have a friend which is born here
from Irish background. He and his family are very interested in
learning Gaelic language. They haven't been able to find anybody
to teach them Gaelic yet. However they are interested in an Au Pair
for a period of up to three month. He has a very nice wife and two
kids. A six year old daughter and three year old son. They have
a beautiful house in Colorado Springs, a nice city with lots of
mountains and recreation areas. A dream for many people to go to
vacation or live. The room and board and possibly a car to drive
will be furnished; some help in the house and/or baby sitting will
be expected. They are mainly interested in some one who could speak
the Gaelic language and share the culture with them. If you know of
a person that is interested please let me know.
                                                  Regards,
                                                  Hossein Beyzavi

I don't know anyone who can help with Irish Gaelic, but Marge Baker
(who I think is at CXO) may know of someone. She knows some Scots
Gaelic, I believe, and may have some contacts with the Irish, too.

Marge, are you out there?

Lots of Irish work as au-pairs (What's the Irish for that?) and I'll
try to get the addresses of local papers in the Gaeltacht areas (where
Irish is spoken as the first language). It should'nt cost much ($5-6)
    to put in an advert.

    Maurice.

    Ps.

Hey, Burns & Culbert - Where's the report of the world tour with the
extra long chapter on a very good session you were at which went a bit
    astray when the music finished.......:-)

Paddy: You forgot to mention the a VHS Home version of the movie
that will be available soon (after we make all our millions at
the Box Office) and there might even be a Nintendo Home Game
available in time for St. Patricks Day next year. The game
will be called "Pub Tour" and the object of the game is
be to try to find your way home after a night in Galway with
	       the lads from Ballybrit.

Losers are required to sleep in the car park of the Dunguaire
               Castle In Kinvara.
