and the next one out my way is The Rio Grande Valley Celtic Festival
and Highland Games, May 13, in Albuquerque, NM. Solo Piping, Solo

555.7'Can still hear the pipes...DELTAQ::WARD"The maidens are weaping in rocky Glencoe"Tue Sep 19 1989 13:1919
Well, the NHHG is over for another year.

We set up early Saturday morning (Clan Shaw tent), and did fairly brisk business
all day. The weather was very nice (sunny in am, clouded up in pm) on Sat., but
it turned cool and rainy by Sunday morning.

Being near the Highland dance competition, we heard piping solid all day long,
Saturday, not to mention the presence of many a bonny lass! 8*)

The tea and scones were good. A lot of people are searchin' for their roots, as
evidenced by the number of questions we got on how to trace one's family. This
was our clan's first time at the NHHG.

Also, there's something *magical* about standing on the parade grounds with
11 pipe bands playing en masse!!! 'Made me proud ta be there!
