477.0. "Party on Thursday Evening" by HBO::OFARRELL () Wed Dec 14 1988 09:51

Hey, KeVin, how come you are keeping the Celts File Christmas
Party so quite? Are you afraid all the Guinness will be gone
if you let the rest of us know about it?

To make up for shy KeVin I'll let you know, its on tomorrow night
Thursday, after work in the Rusty Scupper in Acton.

There will be a collection there for Paddy Culbert's reelection
    fund, so come well prepared.

Nice going Willie, now Darcy is bound to find out and he'll
probably bring that foolish "Git-Tar" with him ... :=)

I'll bring the "bones", and Paddy "The Sthick" Culbert will
bring that "G.D. Drum" of his.

    re:.0
Yes Paddy definately needs to increase his reelection campaign funds.

According to recent opinions in the area Paddy will be heavily targeted
for defeat in his reelection bid.

The recent figures show that he needs to at the very least double
the amount that he spent on this election.

I have consulted with his Campaign Finance Manager and the amount
he will need is astronomical At least $4.00 :^) :^)

Say Willie thanks for the nod of support, and here I've been thinking
    you were a Democrate.

I'll bring my IRS form so that all persons making LARGE
contributions may file on the spot.

Small gifts are also acceptable as, I am collecting money for the
homeless in Pelham and surrounding towns like Londonderry. Come
to think of it Murphy lives in Londonderry doesn't he? In that
case they'll need the money to expand the schoolhouse and hire extra
teachers to help teach his kids music appreciation. 8*)

John, you have got it all wrong. Paddy, your brother and our
esteemed friend, being a good Republican (he supports the McBride
Principles) Politician and being steeped in Irish tradition will
follow an Irish custom, namely: buy a round for the house.

But arn't we lucky? Paddy is also an American, so he has to go
one better. He is going to buy a round for the house for the night.

So all you have to do is bring a dollar or two for the collection,
and let Paddy look after you from there.

The message to come well prepared was ment for Paddy.

I think I saw Paddy with the straws....but he kept them in his
coat pocket - for future use. There was enough drink buying.

Great turn out - I even gave up my Pogues pin! Wear it proud.

Looking forward to The Races - KeVin...I'll be there!

Christ, it sounds like I left in time. Seeing Pogues pins in your
sleep. Aaaahhhhh Southern Comfort....works wonders!!! Especially
for the ageing. I just had a couple of Zombies myself. How did Chris's
nose survive last night?? You were lucky the wind was so strong.....
....swaying cars was the norm.....even the patrol car in front of
me was back & forth....good camouflage.

The biggest problem voiced there was the shortage of such events,
especially over the next few weeks....when is the next...who is
    having a party/get together.....lets have a little energy.....

              'TIS THE SEASON TO BE............
