BUT I'M MELTING, slowly melting in the Texas heat................
Give me Boston any time ---- but Austin has hills/trees/lakes. I'll
let them know that if they find a suitable Austin Pub with stout - I'll
accept!
Anyway, Austin means several trips per year to Boston!!
Thanks guys for the Boston tour of Pubs - it was a great night!
Next time I'll bring Michelle and allow more time for play.

They're there to wake up local drunken Irishmen/Irish-Americans
as they weave their way home!!
You see at that hour of the night the traffic conditions aren't
so exciting as during the daylight hours in Boston. Locals get
bored - need some stimulation.
Is that why those barrels are there???!!!
Didn't have Kevin Farrington as my helicopter pilot :-(. It was
a great ride anyway.
Love that dirty water...............

I'm going to Austin. I'll have an account (eventually) on the node
AUSTIN with a modem and terminal at home.
I'll be DEC's first assignee to Sematech. Sematech was formed by
a consortium of 14 companies who are involved in manufacturing and
is also supported by the US Gov't and Defense Dept. The purpose
of Sematech is to develop new and improved methods to manufacture
semiconductors. This is the area of expertise where the Japanese
are superior to US semi. manufacturers - we hope to catch up.
I am still a DEC employee although I will have a day-to-day manager
at Sematech. The assignment will last from 2-3 years. Afterwards
I will come back in DEC's Semiconductor Operations - most likely
wherever a new plant is starting up. (So any of you with any influence
- we need a SC plant in Eire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
It will be crazy over the several months but I'll do my best to
keep up with y'all. And, if you're ever in Austin - I'll be buying
the pints!! (as soon as I figure out where Guinness is on draught!)
