350.0. "2-Row Button Accordion" by CGHUB::BURNS () Mon Mar 28 1988 11:35

I want to learn how to play "The Siege of Guinness" !!!

Move over Joe Burke & Jackie Daly :=)

One of the many projects/hobbies I want to take up in my spare time
    is:

    The 2-Row Button Accordion !!!!

Can anyone out there provide me with any info.? Anything at all
    - I'm completely ignorant about the accordion. All I know is how
much I like the sound of a good "Reel" ! The accordion falls
into the same "nobility range" as the smell of turf, Guinness and
    Harp, and the bodhran.

I don't recall ever seeing this subject in a previous note in this
file. If information is available elsewhere please let me know.

How much would it cost to purchase a new or used accordion?

    How much would lessons be?

    How difficult is it?

    etc. etc. etc.

    Thanks,

    keVin

p.s. This is a honest set of questions, I just used JO'R's format from
note 349 as a guide, seeing as he received so many good answers.

    keVin,
As soon as you master the two button acordian, let me know.
If it's soon enough, I'd like to hire you to play at my wife's
birthday. I really want to make it special this year, and live
    music would do it.

    keVin,

Maybe the problem with the original note is that you copied my style!

Perhaps the style should fit the person?! My style's rather plain
and "analytical". Everyone was probably shocked!!

    Hey KeVin,

I don't want to discourage you or anything, but are you sure you
would be able to learn a musical instrument.....

Don't they teach beginners by color-coding the keys?????

With your history of color-blindness, I would be very concerned!

keVin will be able to play the two button box, as long as one button
is the ON button and the other is the OFF button. he-he

If he was a rich man he might.
On the other hand he has mislaid his bow somewhere in his office,
and since it is not in the smae place as his paychecks he is having
some difficulty finding it.......that is if the healthy rat colony
that also reside there have not devoured it along with the stale
    coffee and salami sandwiches.
