Leaprechauns pull into it. For those celts who know what it is to pull it on stroke side or bow side ( or indeed both), I wish to announce with great pleasure, that University College Galway have won the THames Cup at Henly regatta, last weekend. They beat Neptue (of Dublin) in an all-Irish final. Indeed there were three Irish crews into the las four, Cork B.C. being beaten by U.C.G. on their way to the pot. A civic reception was accorded to the crew by the mayor of galway last night, and there will be a reception thrown by the Minister for Sport here in Galway on Friday night. I'll be there, if anybody out there has a message for the lads. Snake is sending out the invitations.

'Twas only a matter of time! Music, Maestro.... Crusing down the river, Down by Steamers Quay, We'll all pull together, Rowing in harmonieee. And we'll all swing together, With our bodies between our knees, And we'll all swing together, For the honour of U.C G. |
