	Goodbye to the Port and Brandy, to the Vodka and the Stag,
	To the Schmiddick, and the Harpic, the bottle draught and keg.
	As I sat lookin' up at the Guinness ad, I could never figure out,
	How "Your Man" stayed up on the surfboard, after 14 pints of stout.

    Why not ask Ernest Saunders ? (The ex-chairman of Guinness and probably
    a bigger scoundrel than Boesky!)

          I've no more details. Just heard he'd had one when I was back

    Not much printed news on this, but last week's issue of my favourite
    magazine (In Dublin) had a snippet which said that Christy suffered
    a minor heart attack last August (he probably heard you were in
    town Burns!) and he is resting up at the moment. They expect him
    to be back working after Christmas.

    	My guess would be that the heart-attack was brought on via the
    	night that you and Mulligan played a "duet" on the tin-whistles.

        I was there, and it caused me great-pain !!!! :-)

    Christy made a surprise appearance on last Saturday's Late Late
    TV show. He delivered an excellent interpretation of his Messanger
    Boy from the last album.

    He looks slimmer and a bit drawn. he's been through a tough time
    and is probably lucky to be still alive. Apparently he felt the
    heart attack coming on and was under medical supervision at an early
    stage.

    Christy says he's going to take it easier from now on.

    If you want to send him a get well card he can probably be contact
    through his record company Warner Bros. Ireland.

208.11Johnny Who?!?!?PPASRV::ONEILLTue Nov 24 1987 12:2711

    	Speaking of Johnny Logan (.1 or .2!) whats happened to him?
    	Even after winning TWO Eurovisions and promising great things
    	both times I cant remember hearing anything of him before I
    	left home (Ireland) - and that was August!

    	<Ann>

    	p.s. I was actually embarrassed to be Irish watching HIM on
	    t.v. the night he won the Eurovision < GROAN! > painful
 	   stuff!
