I have a lot of French people asking me about Gaelic Football.
The reason it came up is that almost all Irish people who come to
work here paly football, and I was trying to explain to them that
most Irish boys and indeed girls play football expecially Gaelic
football from an early age.
Now trying to explain the rules is almost impossible, and they ask
is it like American football. So here's what I am looking for and
I will pay for it if necessary. I want a video cassette of a all
Ireland final of football and hurling, a goood one that was not
too one sided. Can anybody help me?. I am also trying to start a
club in the area as there are quite a few Irish here, enough for
6 teams or more and I miss the old game and maybe I could introduce
the game to some of the French and Swiss.
Hoping somebody can help me.
Denis, could you maybe get a old team together from Paris even though
you yourself don't play the game, you must have good Irish contacts
there, it would be great.
Anybody in Valbonne care for a game, don't be shy, we can do it.
Come on the Dubs

Rene,
I believe that the Dublin/kerry games are available on video. These
games were really classics and were from 74-79 (I think). If anyone
can confirm this I'd like to know how to get those tapes also.

Re .0: Rene, there are already at least 2 Gaelic football teams
in Paris, each based in a different Irish pub. The pubs are known
as John's and Tony's, from the landlords' names. John's pub is
L'Escale, 55, rue Montmartre, 75002 Paris, Tony's pub is Le Gobelet
d'Argent (The Silver Goblet), 11 (or is it 10?), rue du Cygne, 75002
(or 75001?) Paris. At least 2 games between the teams have already
been played, both won by John's team. I don't know much more about
it.
Denis.
