148.0. "Siopa Leabhar" by TALLIS::DARCY (George @Littleton Mass USA) Mon Mar 09 1987 13:49

    A good publication that explains the status of the Irish language
    from yesteryears to today, published by the Bord na Gaeilge,
    not to mention a good bookstore in New York.

    The Irish Language, Dept. of Foreign Affairs, Bord na Gaeilge, $6.50

    Give me "cupla la", Rene, as my aunt is reading it now. It's one
    of the more interesting books that I have read lately. It has all
    sorts of statistics, graphs, maps, etc.. mainly on Irish, but also
    includes smaller discussions on other celtic tongues.

    It's a bargain at $6.50.

    I'll try posting some of the relevent data as soon as possible.

    Hasta Luego,
