Tiara - Irish Ancestral Society
The Irish Ancestral Research Association (TIARA) is a
non-denominational, non-profit organization established to provide
educational programs and exchange information on subjects related
to Irish genealogy.
Activities
o Presentation of speakers and programs
o How to workshops
o Bi-monthly newsletter
o Query exchange
o Aid in solving genealogical research problems
o Preservation of Irish genealogical sources of research
Topics
Our programs and workshops cover subjects on genealogical research
in both Dublin and Belfast, on both Catholic and Protestant ancestors,
and on Norht American sources of interest to the Irish-American
genealogist.
Location
We are a greater Boston organization which meets at the Pope John
XXIII Seminary, Route 30, Weston Masschusetts. The seminary is
located about 3 miles west of the Route 128 - Route 30 intersection.
Meeting Times
We have regularly monthly meetings on the second Friday of each
month at 7:30 p.m. from January through December. We do not meet
in July and August. In October, we have our annual banquet at a
local restaurant.
Dues
Our dues is currently $8.50 per year for an individual, and $12.75
per year for a family membership. Membership runs from January
through December.
