Hello, I,ve got a question concerning the behaviour of entities displayed in a map window. Is it possible to send a command to the IMPM to change the nick name of an entity that is displayed in the current map window? I need this functionality to display the usage of a large number of harddisks at a glance. Regards Uwe [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

Uwe, There is no API that allows you to dynamically alter the nick name of an entity displayed on a map. You can modify the nickname in the map file and close/open the map and the name will be changed. This of course comes under the heading of "Unsupported Hack! Use at your own Risk!". It does work, however. Regards, Bob |
