707.0. "Maximum Volume of Alarms reached" by KNEIPE::CSCHMIDT () Mon Apr 07 1997 11:14
Hello,
how can I change/set the maximum capacity of alarms in the not handled
alarm window?
I get the follwoing error message:
Alarm Handling Application
Fatal Error enabling Alarm Display, Operation Context christiane_oc
%MCC-E-MAXVOLREAC, Maximum Volume of Alarms reached: Please Use View
Alams Window
I run some tests: we use the data_collector to get alarms into TeMIP.
The alarms are genereted via mcc_evc_send and read from an ASCII file
which contains a lot of records each designed to become an OSI alarm.
Now I have the following situation:

TeMIP> show operation christiane_oc all attr

I can call the View Alarms window and see the Not Handled Alarms. I can
Acknowledge them, Terminate them, but they do not disappear in that
window and I get the same error message when I use the Not Closed Alarms
window.
Is there a parameter or environment variable I can set?
Thanks for any help
Christiane

707.1 | Try temip.an_volume_max | CHEFS::AITKINS_T | | Mon Apr 07 1997 12:27 | 16 |
| Try setting the following paramater in your temip_resource.dat
Maximum number of Not-Closed alarms accepted by the TeMIP Alarm
Handling application. If set to 0 means no limit.
temip.an_volume_max
