Hi, I have a question concerning the UNIX group id of the acloc account. This is in two parts:- 1. Is there going to be any problem if in a new TeMIP installation/config, we create the acloc account under a different group than "users" 2. What are the implications of changing group id of the acloc account in an existing TeMIP system. Can we change group id on the fly ? Thank you. Cheers, Riza.

Riza, 1. Is there going to be any problem if in a new TeMIP installation/config, we create the acloc account under a different group than "users" >> No, it should not be a problem, but your Director User Account, >> and all the TeMIP user acounts must have the same primary group id as acloc. 2. What are the implications of changing group id of the acloc account in an existing TeMIP system. Can we change group id on the fly ? >> If you really change the group id of acloc, you have to stop TeMIP >> and perform a temip_setup, to change the ownership of all acloc files. >> Do not forget that if you change for acloc you must change for all other >> TeMIP users (see previous answer). regards, Nathalie. |
