    Here is a follow on to the Soundblaster problem:
    
    Sound works OK (Midi and WAV) and after 3-4 minutes sound is cut(ie
    .wav won't play anymore but midi will).
    If I start,say Encarta,sound works but when I then try to play a
    video,both sound and video cut.If Encarta is started when sound has
    alrady cut,then videos play ok(with no sound though)
    I have tried all the Microsoft troubleshooting - high DMA is
    cancelled,audio drivers reloaded,latest soundblaster drivers.
    What on earth is happening.Why should sound cut out randomly on wav
    files but I can always play midi files.
