I have been quoted 179 for a P23t Overdrive upgrade for my
Digital 433sxDT (aka Olivetti M6-420).
Does anyone know of a cheaper source/solution ??
Also, looking at the Intel pages the M6-420 is not supported with the
Pentium -- has anyone tried this upgrade?? (The documentation says the
system is ready for the Intel P24 overdrive)
Can anyone help?
regards,
Ron

The P24T is supported in the following platforms: DECpc LPx DECpc LPx+ DECpc MTE DECpc XL Venturis 4XXX Some of these systems have limitations--you can check the Engineering support home page for more details at: http://pcbu.ako.dec.com/ The information is listed under "TECHTIPS" in the DECpc XL section. A cheaper alternative for the 63/83 POD would be the Intel 4100. In some situations it may even provide a bit more performance. Any configurations with other CPU brands, such as AMD, may work, but is not supported. Regards, -me- | |||||
