Hi !
I have a custumer that want`s to upgrade his Celebris xl 590 to 5133 DP (
fr-873) .
He has tryed to run with a singel 5133 and it wasnt anny problem . But when he

putts in the secend 5133 the pc runns like before but NT 3.51 does`nt see the
secend 
cpu .
It`s the same stepping and batch and Bios 2.04 .

I read in Topic 3237 that Prioris xl has a little "add-n" pcb is it the same 
whith Celebris XL .

Or is the problem that it is`nt the same cpu card to 90 and 133 cpu ?

    You might check in the DECWET::WINDOWS-NT conference.  Upgrading the
    hardware to dual-processor does nothing to enable Windows NT to run in
    MP mode.  (hint, UPTOMP in the resource kit can tell NT to use both
    processors.)

    There are many topics in DECWET::WINDOWS-NT that discuss upgrades
    from UNI to Multiprocessor, though they may not be easy to locate.
    
    I just used http://altavista.notes.lkg.dec.com:8000/  (note the port
    8000)  to search for "uptomp upgrade" and got many hits.
    
    Here's a recent one.  5715 in DECWET::WINDOWS-NT.  Try the above search
    engine to see many more.

You need to re-install NT (I usually, Fdisk and format
the drive as well).

There is a seperate HAL.DLL/system kernel for single
and DP processors. If you don't re-install NT after
adding the second CPU, NT will still be using the 
single processor HAL and kernel.
