It's not on the Dartmouth mirror site yet, but some of you may enjoy getting
an early look at my Mt Washington hike trip report. Some of the pictures
are huge.

Dave, as always your page is fantastic, and I enjoyed the recent
Mt. Washington trip report. Both fun and useful to me.

The new drop should be up early next week, and will include the Mt Washington
trip and a friends ski trip up Moosilauke which has some excellent pictures
as well.

Yet another preview for the Digital folks. A new trip report, this time of
an absolutely fantastic ski ascent and descent of the Moosilauke Carriage
Road, has been added. This was by far my best ski of the mountain, lots of
fluffy snow and only two snowmobiles.

You gotta catch it just right. We had absolutely perfect conditons, and the
snowmobiles hadn't tracked it all down into ice. If you went back a few
days later it would be like skiing down a luge shute.

It's not really that steep, and wouldn't be that challenging on alpine
equipment because it's so wide. If you are gonna try alpine skis, I'd
recommend the Gorge Brook trail. It's much steeper and narrower. In
conditions like we had that day, I'd just use regular X-C skis over alpine
equipment due to the weight. You'd have to carry skis and boots, while
using snowshoes for the ascent. Too much hassle for me.
