442.0. "Console ACCVIOs, PCs 00349D10 & 0011BE60" by COMICS::MILLSS ("Jump! Jump now!" ...Kosh) Thu May 08 1997 11:38

A customer of mine had a problem with AMDS V7.0 running on Alpha using OpenVMS
V6.2 constantly crashing under all kinds of circumstances with the following
ACCVIO...

This was solved by downgrading AMDS to V6.2. The question here is should V7.0
actually work OK on a V6.2 system? If not, then why did the installation
procedure let the customer install it?

Now he is running AMDS 6.2 on a VAXcluster with nodes running openvms v6.2,6.1
as a mix of vaxes and alphas. He sometimes gets the following ACCVIO...

%SYSTEM-F-ACCVIO, access violation, reason mask=00, virtual address=000000C4, PC
=0011BE60, PS=0000001B

  Improperly handled condition, image exit forced.

442.1Try the V7.1 AMDS kit.BSS::JILSONWFH in the Chemung River ValleyThu May 08 1997 13:005
I would try the V7.1 AMDS kit and if that has the same problems then IPMT.
Also make sure you use the V7.1 AMDS kit for all the driver systems as well
as the console system(s). Sorry I don't have any more.
