    A customer running OpenVMS 6.2 is using host based shadowing.  For sake
    of discussion the shadow set has two members each connected to two
    different controllers.  Each controller is a HSZ40 pair.  When a
    controller fails, the customer notices the load being moved to the
    other HSZ in the controller shelf but the shadow set is broken.  It is
    not only broken but needs to be rejoined manually and then a copy must
    occur.
    
    Is this normal behavior?
