848.0. "Terminal settings?" by OTOOA::JPOND () Fri Apr 18 1997 16:40
Hi there,
I have tried like the dickens but have been unsuccessful in getting a
PC running "Terminal" to talk to an HSZ. I can't get the two to synch
up properly and I've tried every permutation and combination of
communication speeds, parity, etc.
It worked the very first time at 9600 baud, but when I issued a SET
THIS TERMINAL_SPEED=19200, I was never able to get the terminal to talk
to the controller again. I keep getting the garbage characters we all
know and love on the terminal screen when you don't have your settings
set properly.
Could someone provide some direction with this issue?
Thanks in advance,
Jim

| Just an update to this string. I had to replace the controller in this
case.
