    Hi,
    
    One question that the customer asked,when we were troubleshooting
    a severe scsi-problem,was why one of his HSZ50's presents itself
    as HSZ50 and the other three as HSZ50-AX. This is when you are 
    connected to the HSZ50 and do a "SHO THIS". To me it looks like
    a cosmetic thing but since the customer asked I have to find out.
    
    1) Where does this information come from? Controller-board or 
       PCMCIA-card?
    
    2) Are there any differences between those modules?

	The information comes from the board itself (NV memory). The boards are exactly the same. We changed the name a while back because of a naming problem with HSX40's that didn't have identification and were really different.

	All HSZ50's should report an ID of HSZ50-AX. Two different manufacturing sites ship these modules, so it is possible that one of these sites, at one time, shipped modules that were incorrectly ID'd. If you can provide the serial number of the controller(s) that report HSZ50, I will have this investigated to insure that this does not occur in the future. To check for compatibility, the firmware compares the first five characters of this string, so your Customer should not experience a problem, but we would like to insure that we are not continuing this mistake.
