822.0. "v4.0a panic in advfs "del_xtnt_array:"" by RUSURE::KATZ () Fri Mar 21 1997 11:03
I have a CLD where the customer has an HSZ running 2.7 The raidset is RAID5.
They experienced an AdvFS panic that could be signalling disk corruption.
The problem results in an inability to mount the domain. They tried taking
the AdvFS fileset and domain off the disk, then remaking them and found that
they had to reinitialize the disklabel in order to avoid hitting the same
crash.
The commands used to disklabel the disk were
disklabel -z rzn
disklabel -rw rzn hsz40
mkfdmn rzn user_domain
mkfset user_domain user
user_domain is 12gb in size with 9gb used
The customer is running verify via cron on a regular basis, also defragment.
Sounds to me like the disklabel is getting corrupted and I don't expect
AdvFS is writing to it ?
Anyone have any ideas ?
