Greetings all, A simple one for you: I have customer who owns a batch of disks off a hsj and would like to move some of the batch to a hsz. I figured that I merely pop those babies out and plug them in the hsz. The hsj is running the 5.0 firmware and the hsz is running 3.0. I figured I can merely init the drives and 16 gigibytes of disk space is at my satified customer's command! Is that it? Anything I'm missing? Fred Mudgett

Not tried it from a HSJ50 to HSZ40, but I'm pretty confident that this will work - after all that's the beauty of StorageWorks!! -Paul | |||||

Not only will it work but if you want the data on the disks you just don't init them. (you only have to set up the configuration so that the storagesets are the same. |
