777.0. "Can't upgrade to V3.0 of the RAID310" by ZPOVC::CSNAQS () Mon Feb 24 1997 03:51

    Hi,

    I am trying to upgrade the firmware version V2.7 of the RAID310 to
    ver 3.0 using the image file that I have downloaded from
    CSC32::ISG$COMMON:[HSZ40].

    I copy the V30Z.IMG file to the NT Server's hard disk.
    I used the RAID Manager software to load the firmware.
    From the RAID Manager, I selected the configuration => controller
    => load firmware. I selected the V30Z.IMG and the system start the
    Kermit loading.

    After the it completes it loading about an hour, I restart the RAID310
    and check the version of the firmware but it is not upgraded to version
    3.0Z but remain at the original version.

    There are no errors during the upgrade,any clues why the firmware of
    the controller does not get upgraded through RAID Manager ?

    Alternately, I try the other method as mentioned on Notes 675.5 but
    could not get it work. How or where do I specify the image file which
    I have placed on c:\firmware\V30Z.IMG such that it will download
    the file using the kermit ? Could appreciate if it can be explained in
    more details on the upgrading of the firmware in Notes 675.5 ?

    Thanks
